Andrew Bailey

Andrew Bailey

I arrived at the Westerly News began in January 2012 when I joined as a reporter and photographer. In November 2015, I had the privilege of stepping into the role of the newspaper's editor. My work revolves around capturing the diverse spectrum of news and events that unfold to the west of Sutton Pass. A notable aspect of my role is my weekly column, "Behest of the West," where I reflect on the nuances of West Coast life.

My education background includes studying at the University of Northern British Columbia. When I'm not immersed in the world of news, I love spending quality time with my kids, often taking them to the beach. I'm also an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan, even though their performance tends to leave me feeling a bit disappointed.
