What about “Total Recall”?

Re: Costly recall campaigns, June 30-July 6

Brian Kieran’s column states that recall has been used “mostly by the NDP” as a “blunt political instrument” and he gives several examples of recall campaigns to remove Liberal MLAs.  Conveniently, he left out the “Total Recall” campaign  organized by Kevin Falcon (the current Finance Minister and Deputy Premier) in 1999, which targeted many NDP MLAs with the sole purpose of overturning the results of the 1996 election.
