Voters need more honey

Re: “City Watchdog” – Nov. 17-23

Simon, how many non-voters are going to read this and say: “That guy’s right! I better vote!” Probably no more than had the appeal been to the consistent voter with the title: “If you really care, don’t vote.” Your great ideas for voting are indisputable. But when I’m in the halls and doorsteps of thousands of Victoria’s apartment-dwelling non-voters, it’s the simple act of showing up in person with a desire to listen. Catch more non-voting bees with honey, not the vinegar of shame.
