The contrast between Brian Keiran's reactionary views and Simon Natrass's analysis of the CRD's problems could not be more clear. Simon points out that the ranks of reactionary local politicians are decreasing. He even quotes Gordon O'Connor favourably and is to be congratulated for this. We are faced with electing several progressive candidates this Fall in Victoria and should make sure that we elect them in Victoria and in all the other local councils. This is the only way we are going to make sure that we create a resilient future.
