In Loving Memory ~
Sheila Hobbis of Brentwood Bay, passed away peacefully at Victoria General Hospital on December 10, 2023.
She was born in Wales, moved to Jamaica and subsequently Canada with her husband and young family.
Sheila worked as a hairdresser, eventually owning two hair salons in North Vancouver where she was well loved by staff and clients. Sheila liked singing at home and later in a local seniors' choir.
She volunteered at school, in the community with other immigrants and at the Cancer Agency styling and fitting wigs for cancer patients.
Sheila, always proud of her Welsh heritage, travelled to many countries with her husband and particularly enjoyed returning to her roots to see her extended family.
Predeceased by husband Ian and sister Valerie.
Survived by children Sue (John), Michael (Manon) and Louise (Brian), beloved grandchildren Odette, Bryn, Ian, Andrew, and much-loved brothers Vince, Laurie, and John.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
