1933-2011
Clive passed away in Nanaimo hospital after a five-year struggle against cancer that could never defeat his optimistic spirit. He was born in Yorkshire, England. After leaving school he enlisted in the Royal Navy. In 1962 he left the Navy and met his wife Lyn. They emigrated in 1969 with their two sons. They settled in Qualicum Beach in 1972. He was active in the community, including being the treasurer of the local Masonic lodge and an active Royal Canadian Legion member. He kept his love for the sea, going fishing and doing international cruising.
He is survived by Lyn, his wife of 48 years, and his two sons David and Neil, and granddaughter Kyrie.
A memorial service will be held at St. Stephen's United Church, 150 Village Way in Qualicum Beach at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, January 12th.
