Born May 16, 1950 in Nelson, BC. Died suddenly from a MVA (incident) Jan 1, 2019.
Penry leaves behind his sister Gaye Patterson and brother in law Don Patterson, his brother Robert Price and sister in law Madeline Price, and his sister Ann Crawford and his pre-deceased brother in-law Bob Crawford, and many nieces and nephews.
Penry was a man that lived his life in the very best way he could. He was always ready with a smile, a wave and a quick- witted joke. He was much loved by the many people he came in contact with. Penry spent many productive years with the Victoria Community Living Association and enjoyed working in the communities where he lived in Saanich and Victoria. He always had a big presence and a bigger smile.
His family on Vancouver Island and on the Sunshine Coast will miss him dearly.
Much gratitude to the Knudsen family who loved and cared for Penry for many years, and his most recent family where he shared wonderful times with much love and care with Glenn and Jasmine Kirkup.
Thank you for the VGH staff in the ER and ICU who were so gracious and caring and fought so hard on his behalf.
