In Loving Memory ~
We are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Harry Nunn of dementia on May 16th at Royal Jubilee Hospital. Harry was born at Rest Haven Hospital and lived nearly all his life in Sidney, BC. His working life was spent driving trucks, buses and taxis in the area.
Harry was a volunteer with the Sidney Fire Department and took great pride in his 60 year membership, proudly displaying his Life Member plate on his vehicle and later on his mobility scooter.
In retirement he enjoyed his hobby of creating wooden models of cars, trucks, logging trucks, firetrucks, trains, and excavators, which he later donated to the Historical Artifacts Museum. He took a keen interest in the history of the Sidney and North Saanich area and volunteered for a time at the Sidney Museum Archives.
Harry is predeceased by his wife, Chere and his son Michael, his parents, Joe and Alice Nunn, sisters Lillian Tripp and Rose Soos.
He is survived by his sister, Hazel Phillips and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
We wish to express our sincere appreciation for the care received at the Shoal Centre Assisted Living, Rest Haven Lodge and Royal Jubilee Hospital.
No memorial service by request. In lieu of flowers donations to the Saanich Peninsula Hospital and Healthcare Foundation would be appreciated.
