November 30, 1930 - August 14, 2020
James Martin Gray, published poet and renowned researcher of Tennyson's Arthurian poetry, died peacefully in Beckley Farm Lodge on 14-08-2020.
He was raised and began his creative and academic work in Edinburgh, Scotland, emigrating to Toronto in 1952 and to Victoria in 1990. He leaves his two brothers Ian and Donald, his former wife Hilary, and their two daughters Kirstie and Marion, three grandchildren Kelly, Sarah and Alistair-James and two great grandchildren Freya and Jack- Martin.
The families are deeply grateful for the warmth he experienced throughout his time in Victoria, most recently from his friend John Sherber and the staff at Beckley Farm Lodge.
