MAY, DOROTHY VERNE
June 5, 1924-July 17, 2007 Mom passed away peacefully at Resthaven Lodge in Sidney, B.C. Mom was born in Sutherland, Sask. and as a child she moved with her parents to Vancouver. She trained as a R.N. at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver. Later while working at Lady Minto Hospital on Salt Spring Island, she met and later married her husband Ted. They moved to Cowichan Bay, B.C. via New Zealand. Mom worked at the old Resthaven Hospital in Sidney and then at Saanich Peninsula Hospital. Mom loved music and played the piano very well. She also loved a good joke and we will remember her easy laughter and the care and love she gave to those around her. Dorothy is predeceased by her husband, Ted. She leaves behind her son Phil (Jody), her daughter Susan Anderson (Gord), and her granddaughter Elizabeth Anderson. Special thanks to the staff and friends at Resthaven Lodge for their care and compassion over the years.
