Deborah Layne Macara St. Laurent was born in Calgary, Alta. She lived in Haines Jct., Whitehorse and Dawson City, Yukon, and Nelson, Kemano,
Prince Rupert and Langford, B.C.
She is survived by her boys Daniel and Gavin St. Laurent, partner Rob Fugle, and her sisters, nieces and nephews.
Debbie graduated from high school in Prince Rupert in 1986 and she worked for many years in administration, most recently at GFL Environmental.
She married Serge St. Laurent in 1994 who predeceased her in 2009.
Daniel and Gavin were born in 1999 and she met partner Rob Fugle in 2011. Debbie was involved in the Victoria Twins Club and her boys' schools and clubs. She was known as the loudest parent in the stands.
Debbie touched many people's hearts. Her smile lit up the room and she was always the life of the party.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1 - 4 pm Saturday, Nov. 2 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 798 Goldstream Ave., Langford. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Victoria Hospitals Foundation - Cancer Care, Victoria Hospice, or the charity of your choice.
