Top Gunner Tom Skerritt is coming to Victoria!
The Victoria Film Festival is excited to announce that the American actor, best known for his roles in Picket Fences, Top Gun and A River Runs Through It, will be in Victoria in person for a live interview at In Conversation With…
The action begins at 6:45 pm on Sunday, February 6 at The Vic Theatre (808 Douglas Street).
The Detroit-born actor made his film debut in the 1962 film War Hunt. Appearing in more than 40 films, and 200 television episodes, Skerritt has earned multiple nominations and awards, including the Prime-Time Emmy Award for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series in 1993 for Picket Fences.
After the interview, guests are welcome to stay and enjoy Skerritt’s latest feature film, East of the Mountains. The film follows a retired surgeon (Skerritt) and his beloved dog as they adventure on one last journey to his childhood home in Washington State.
The film is based on the novel Snow on Falling Cedars by David Guterson.
