Ryan Adams is back on the road.

He’ll be appearing at Victoria’s Royal Theatre on March 20, 2023, as part of a whirlwind Canadian tour that will see his triumphant return to the stage following a series of medical personal challenges that took him out of the live music scene in 2019.

Perhaps it’s fitting that one of Adam’s best-known ballads is entitled “Do You Still Love Me?” (from the 2017 album Prisoner). It may have been on his mind when he first returned to the stage in May of 2022 in a concert at Carnegie Hall.

The answer wasn’t long in coming. The concert sold out immediately and the same was true of the batch of additional shows that followed.

Adams continued to demonstrate his musical chops by releasing five new albums in 2022, including “Devolver” in September of 2022. That offering was released as a free download and was accompanied by a statement by Adams in which he thanked his fans for their continued support.

Adams followed that up with the announcement of his long-awaited return to the U.K in April of 2023.

Explaining Adams’ enduring success wouldn’t be easy but might be summed up by saying that he is as powerfully talented as he is prolific.

He started his solo career in 2000, and since that time has released more than 22 studio albums to his name. He’s been praised as “one of rock’s most talented songwriters” by SPIN Magazine and has seven Grammy nominations to his name.

His awe-inspiring catalogue of music has been praised by his peers with everyone from Willie Nelson, Noel Gallagher, Taylor Swift and the legend Elton John.

Adams’ music is as diverse as it is entertaining. Although considered by some as a country rocker, he has frequently experimented with a full spectrum of musical genres. His musical style and dynamism have allowed him to perform everything from punk to country, without ever losing his way on that convoluted creative path.

He’s a song writer, poet, producer, performer, and writer, but all of that is just background.

The real magic of Ryan Adams - his true genius - is best appreciated when he takes the stage. His soulful vocals and captivating guitar combine with a new setlist for every show and ensure that every performance will be unique.

Tickets are available starting at $83.25 at admitone.com for the one night only Victoria performance on March 20.
