The Victoria Conservatory of Music (VCM) is presenting a treasured tradition again this year—The 18th annual Daniel Lapp’s Home for Christmas concert. This cross-country celebration premieres online via the VCM’s Youtube Channel on Wednesday, December 22 at 7 pm PST.

It is time once again to spread holiday cheer, and Daniel Lapp’s concerts offer a wonderful and much-needed renewal of Christmas music magic. The concert will be available online until Sunday, December 26.

Lapp will be gathering many students and alumni from his highly acclaimed ensembles: the BC Fiddle Orchestra, Fiddleharmonic, Old-Time DanceBand, Folkestra! and the Joy of Life Choir to perform a collection of inspiring festive favourites, including the beloved finale “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.” Viewers are invited to gather together with their families, join in and sing along.

Daniel’s famous house bands—the Shiny H’ornaments, Swingin’ Shepherds and the Strings of Lights—will be back in full force this year, accompanying special guests, a choir and ensembles in what promises to be another wonderfully uplifting Christmas concert for the whole family.

The 18th annual Daniel Lapp’s Home for Christmas concert is filmed at the Victoria Conservatory of Music in the Alix Goolden Performance Hall and Wood Hall, as well as at other locations in and around Greater Victoria. With performances full of Christmas cheer and a few added holiday surprises, you will not want to miss this beloved annual tradition.

The Victoria Conservatory of Music is suggesting to everyone who enjoys Daniel Lapp’s Home for Christmas Concert and the joy of music, to make a $25 donation, or more, in lieu of purchasing a ticket.

Your generous support ensures the VCM can continue to bring concerts to the community and keeps music education as affordable as possible and accessible to all. For information on the concert and donating visit: vcm.bc.ca/Christmas.
