The fifth annual Victoria Bicycle Music Festival will roll through Lekwungen Territory on Sunday, August 7. This free, pedal-powered, mobile music festival will take place in two different parks over the course of the afternoon, kicking off in Harris Green Park (Pandora Avenue between Vancouver and Cook streets) at 1 pm, and then moving over to Central Park beside Crystal Pool for additional performances beginning at 3 pm.

The event will feature bicycle-powered performances by local Indigenous hip-hop group Paint the Town Red, reggae artist Caleb Hart, singer-songwriter From the Ghost, and fiddler/vocalist Finley Rose. There will also be drumming by STAR Drum Group, spoken word by Jeremiah Gittens and a dance performance by Lee Ingram.

Members of the audience are invited to help power the festival by riding stationary generator bikes set up beside the stage, producing on-demand electricity for this off-grid event. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their own bikes to the festival and to cycle between the two park venues. Capital Bike will be providing a free bike valet service at Central Park for the second portion of the event.
