Victoria’s top improvisers, directed by master manipulator Ian Ferguson, wrap up the eighth season of Sin City Improv with two more shows of Castaways, May 5 and 12 at The Belfry’s Studio Theatre.
Described as Lost meets Survivor with a hint of Gilligan’s Island, Castaways tells the story of tourists from a sunken cruise ship excursion trip, who wash up on a desert island in the South Pacific.
The quirky bunch have no choice but try to survive – with often hilarious results. Will they be rescued? Or will they succumb to threats on the mysterious island? Find out when Castaways wraps 8 p.m. on consecutive Sundays. Newcomers are welcome and every episode stands alone as a great night out. You can find a plot summary on “The Story so Far” blog at sincityimprovserial.com.
Having spent seven seasons performing 145 episodes Tuesday nights at the Victoria Event Centre, the troupe returned from a two-year hiatus to triumphantly debut Castaways at their new home at the Belfry Theatre.
