For generations the practice of fabric arts, garment sewing and needle crafts have been produced in the home. These traditional products were created out of necessity. But now with the advancement in fabrics, yarns and technology these time honoured skills have become an art form.
Advancements in computerized sewing machines that integrate with an iPad, long arm quilting, fabulous fabrics for both garment sewing and quilting and luxurious yarns to crochet or knit a beautiful scarf, sweater or hat have changed the approach on how we create these items. Accessibility has also changed.
The Creative Stitches and Crafting Alive show brings everything under one roof. The exhibition hall is filled with the latest and most innovative products that provide the home artisan with everything needed to produce that perfect project. Along with the amazing array of products the show offers seminars from the experts throughout the two days. This show is an opportunity to find out about the latest techniques and trends, meet fellow artists, compare notes and have a wonderful time.
The show includes more than 70 different seminars and workshops each day involving sewing, quilting, textile arts, knitting, crochet; beginner learn to sew classes for kids and adults along with door prize draws, kits, notions, buttons and the largest variety of crafting and sewing supplies seen.
