An evening of inspiration, entertainment and celebration returns to the Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort and Spa on Sept. 20, during the Harvest on the Harbour – A Night Under the Stars fundraiser supporting the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
BC Children’s is the only hospital in the province dedicated solely to treating critically ill and injured children, helping over 86,000 patients and their families in 2018.
The evening kicks off at 6 p.m. with a silent auction followed by dinner. A seasonal and locally sourced four-course menu will be served, featuring autumnal squash, pan-seared halibut, braised pork empanada and everyone’s favourite, a Harvest Dessert buffet. Vegetarian options will be available.
Live music is courtesy of local favourites The Midnights; a 12-piece, choreographed rhythm and blues band featuring experienced professional musicians and members of Vic High R&B Band. Their combination of Motown, funk, pop and R&B will have dancers shimmying until closing time at 11 p.m.
The fundraising goal for this fourth annual event is $20,000 and organizers encourage you to gather friends, coworkers or others together to secure a table together and make an even bigger impact. Individual tickets are $129, with tables of 10 available. To purchase, visit eventbrite.ca and search for Harvest on the Harbour, or drop by the hotel at 100 Harbour Rd.
With local sponsors like Black Press, CTV, Destination Greater Victoria and Poppies Floral Art on board, Harvest on the Harbour is truly a coming together of, and for, the community.
