With a theme for this year’s Intuitive Arts Festival of “trust yourself,” organizers are hoping more people will take the opportunity to delve a little bit deeper into their hearts and souls to find some of the answers they’ve been searching for in their lives.
This two-day festival, happening today and tomorrow (Nov. 2-3) at the Da Vinci Centre in Vic West, brings together psychics, energy healers, alternative medicine practitioners and spiritual seekers from all across Vancouver Island.
“For me it started as a vision of a community bring all the pieces of spirituality together under one roof,” says festival founder and local psychic and tarot reader Andrea Zonnis.
The more than 40 exhibitors on hand will be sharing their knowledge, wisdom and wares to attendees, offering psychic readings, massage, reiki, rocks and gems, mediumship and more. Included with admission are workshops happening throughout the weekend to inspire your spiritual journey, heal the past and step into one’s true potential, Zonnis says.
The festival has moved as it has grown over the years, having started at the James Bay Community Hall with 12 exhibitors. That first effort attracted 150 people, whereas recent festivals have attracted many hundreds more.
Zonnis says the festival brings out many returnees, but about 40 per cent are newcomers looking for something different, she says.
“It’s like a reunion, it’s like you’re coming home. It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet some new friends and explore some stuff that’s underneath the layers.”
The festival runs 11 a.m. top 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 2 and 3. The Da Vinci Centre is at 195 Bay St. For more information on the workshops and others details, visit intuitiveartsfestival.com/.
