Meg Tilly among authors to introduce new books at Bolen’s in June

Academy Award nominated actress Meg Tilly is coming to Bolen Books on Tuesday, June 11 to present her latest novel.

Cliff’s Edge is a follow-up to 2017’s Solace Island, a novel equal parts suspense and romance. Set in the Pacific Northwest, the latest novel follows Eve Harris as she housesits for her honeymooning sister. The only thing is, there have been some crossed signals and there is already someone living at the house: a famous movie star.

Tilly will be swinging by Bolen for this free event to present her latest work and connect with fans. Books will be available for purchase at the event.

The West Coast resident published her first novel, Singing Songs, in 1994 and has gone on to release many more, including her latest. Her work has ranged from Young Adult fiction to romance.

The Canadian actress won a Golden Globe and was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 1985 film Agnes of God, directed by fellow Canadian Norman Jewison. She has also appeared in such movies as Psycho II, The Big Chill and War Machine.

Other authors presenting new books at free events this month include Victoria’s Julie Paul, who’ll introduce her latest collection of short stories, Meteorites (7 p.m., June 18); and fellow local Anny Scoones, who will talk about her second book, a collection of essays entitled, Island Home (7 p.m. June 27).
