Taste of Victoria Food Tours is a Victoria-based company that provides “a food and history experience” through Chinatown, Old Town and the Inner Harbour of beautiful Victoria.

Now in its fifth year of operation, A Taste of Victoria was recognized with a TripAdvisor Best of the Best award as one of the top 10 experiences in Canada for the third straight year.

For the second year in a row, it was named the top food tour in Canada and the number-one-rated tour in the city of Victoria.

This award-winning guided walking tour provides six to eight tastings from local vendors over two hours, and includes quirky stories and tales about local history between the stops.

The tour begins at the Victoria Public Market and makes stops at the Chinese Public School, Gates of Harmonious Interest, Fan Tan Alley, Market Square, Johnson Street, Bastion Square, Government Street and the Inner Harbour.

A Taste of Victoria works with 15 different local vendors and uses six to eight of them to put a tour together on any given day.

While the tastings change daily, examples of some of the food and beverage items provided can include meatballs, Chinese buns, fish tacos, French patisserie, pierogies, Indonesian spring rolls, southern biscuits, matcha, craft beer and chocolates.

The tour prides itself in interacting with local vendors to share their stories about the food they offer and how they came to be.

Tours operate twice daily at 11 am and 2 pm. Reservations are required online in advance and can be found online: at atasteofvictoriafoodtours.com
