The return of Darth Fiddler
Darth Fiddler is back on his favourite corner at Wharf and Government. I'm glad he survived being set upon. Violence is never a good idea and I hope the perpetrator(s) face consequences for the attack. I was very impressed by the expressions of support from the community — but a little rueful the support included a replacement violin. Your article described Darth as self-taught. He doesn't appear to have actually taught himself any music — only how to drag a bow across the strings. I don't begrudge him, his schtick is getting people to give him money for having their picture taken with him — but as one of those toiling in an office overlooking Darth's spot day after day, week after week, year after year, who has been subjected to his atonal sawing, I kinda wish he'd play air fiddle instead of the real thing.
