Letter – Tax of all things

Lowering the HST doesn’t cut it.

Tax of all things

Lowering the HST doesn’t cut it. The problem is: it is a tax of all things. Before, people paid GST on some things. They paid PST on other things. Some things they never paid tax on at all. That is the problem! It is a recessive tax for a one time payout of $1.6 billion. It is a hurtful tax, which only benefits the already rich. Small businesses don’t like it.
