August 24, 2020
Sylvia Bramley passed away peacefully at home on Monday August 24, 2020, the very day she entered this world eighty-eight years ago. Briefly battling cancer, it was crucial to her to "be at home, in control and in charge" right to the end. Sylvia is survived by her loving sister, Lillian (Lil) Marshall and family (Deal, Kent, England), by a mighty group of loyal female friends and by a community of acquaintances, Widow's Walking Group, Sidney Lawn Bowling Club members, Saturday morning coffee gang, neighbours and shopkeepers.
Sylvia will be reunited with her husband John and together their ashes will be scattered at sea. Sylvia was most appreciative of the incredible care and comfort she received from Saanich Peninsula Hospital, VIHA Community Care Nurses, Victoria Hospice Nurses,
Sidney Senior's Care team and Dr. J. Phillips.
Sylvia did not wish for a service or donations, preferring instead for those that knew her to gather over a pot of tea or bottle of wine, catching up on all of the gossip of the day. She loved a good story!
