SIDNEY CHARLES BUTTERICK

November 1, 1914 – February 28, 2011.

Sid leaves behind son Doug (Lu Ann) Butterick, daughter Liz (Shane) Theobald, stepsons Ken (Lynne) Garner and Lorne (Marian) Garner, brothers Bob (Barb) Baldwin and Mel (Greet) Baldwin, brother-in-law Ted (Irene) Clarke and many nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sid was born in Edmonton, moved to Sidney in the mid 30’s and served overseas in WWII with the PPCLI . He was also a Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion and a Life member of the Sidney Volunteer Fire Department. Sid was a dedicated family man and loved life. He left fond memories with many people.

A celebration of Sid’s life will be held at 10am on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at First Memorial Services, 4725 Falaise Drive in Royal Oak. Reception to follow. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Saanich Peninsula and Royal Jubilee Hospitals. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
