Upon moving to Sherwood Park in Alberta he coached again at the minor league level. In his retirement in Qualicum Beach he served as a coaching mentor to several youth teams. Laterally he was the unofficial time keeper for the summer 6 aside games where he sat in the middle of the various games at the high school field and recorded vital statistics.
