Poul Poulsen passed away on his chosen time on June 4th 2022. He was predeceased by his wife Joanne in 2017. His only living relatives reside in Denmark.
Poul was born February 14, 1938 in Oster Hornum, Denmark.
Poul spent many years at sea. He came to Canada to be with his brother. He met Joanne and married in Ottawa, where he had a thriving business in Decorating and Painting. When they retired, they moved to BC and lived in Saanich and Sidney.
Poul loved the sea and boats, which became his main subject for his many watercolors. He was an active member in the Saanich Peninsula Arts and Crafts Society for 30 years. He was also well known for painting watercolors of local businesses in Sidney. He was an avid bridge player with his friends at the SHOAL Centre.
Poul was very generous to many charities including the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation.
Poul will be missed by all, for his friendliness, wit and love of chatting with all who met him for coffee.
