Former Courtenay resident, Mary Joan Callaghan, April 25th, 1929 – July 7th 2016. Passed away peacefully at the residence in Mission, at the age of 87. She is survived by her husband, Stewart, sons James (Charlotte) Neal (Sherry) and her brother Alan (Bernice). She is fondly remembered by her two sons and grandchildren; Jennifer (Skye), Sean (Laura), Brittany (Luke) and Michael. Joan lived a full and vibrant life and will be missed deeply by family and friends. A memorial dinner will be held in early fall, date and place to be announced.
