Margaret filled a room with her presence...

She was born in Verdun, Quebec on June 14, 1935 to a Scottish Family that had immigrated a few years earlier. Margaret adored her "Pop" Jackie (John), her Mum Janet, and her older sisters Flora and Jane. In 1938, the Wieland Family returned to Aberdeen, Scotland, and settled just outside, in Cults. Margaret lived a wonderful life with her parents and her sisters in Cults.

In 1957, Margaret met William "Bill" (Forrester) Taylor, born and raised in Dundee. Bill, a chief tin mining engineer in Malaya, was on holiday. Bill & Margaret dated for 7 weeks until Bill returned to his work in Malaya. Prior to Bill's return, Margaret accepted Bill's proposal for marriage. Almost a year later, she travelled 8000 miles with her wedding trousseau and a piece of lucky white heather. They were wed in a little Church of Scotland in Ipoh on August 15, 1958. Bill & Margaret had 3 children, Anne Patricia (1959), Debra Jane (1961) and William John (1962). Around 1963, the family returned to Scotland; then immigrated to Canada in 1965.

The family lived in Dollard des Ormeaux (Quebec) and Sidney (Nova Scotia). Bill, Margaret & Debra also lived together in Richmond Hill (Ontario). Margaret came to Vancouver Island in 2017 with her daughter Debra (Hague), her son-in law Bruce, her great granddaughter Grace Mooney, and her best-loved Scottie dog, Angus.

Margaret was cherished and loved "to the Moon and Back" by her daughter Debra (Bruce). She will be deeply missed by her brother-in-law Billy Morrice, Deane & Heather Morrice, Lynn Morrice (Clive), Lora Djukastein (Erik); her grandchildren Billy & Siobhan, Chris, Matty, Kara and Angus; her extended family Brad, Brian, Karina & Lucia (Hague) and Grace Mooney; and special friends in Richmond Hill as well as her new friends in Victoria and Sidney. Margaret is pre deceased by her husband Bill (2004), her son Billy (2015), as well as her parents Jackie & Janet, and sisters Flora and Jane.
