Stew was raised born at Chemainus, BC and passed away at Swan Hills, AB. He was raised at Sidney, son of Jack Skinner (1916-1996) a Commercial Fisherman, and Mary Stewart (1916-1994) of Crossfield, AB.
Stew married his school sweetheart, Faye Margaret Larson (1945-2019) in 1964. They went Fishing for a season then moved to Kitimat where he began his working life as a Welder. Soon he and Faye were parents to two lovely girls, Tracey (1966) and Laurie (1967). After a family move to northern Alberta, they were soon grandparents to two more lovely little girls, Sidney (1994) and Casey (1996).
Stewie will be lovingly remembered by his sister Allison (Colin) Hetman of Courtenay, and cousins John Skinner, Paul Skinner, Daphne Sams, and Doug Braun. Also their school friends Bruce Brodie and Lynn Jordan. I will miss his stories of the Dragons in his life: Faye, Tracey. Laurie, Sidney and Casey. Oh how he loved his family of girls.
The family can all rest now, knowing that Stewie and Faysey are together again.
