Irene Millar

Irene died peacefully in her 98th year with loved ones beside her. 

She was feisty, independent and determined, showing remarkable resilience through her health challenges of later years. She remained vitally interested and engaged in living, played bridge, watched TSN and CNN, attended activities at the Shoal Centre for Seniors and Mount Newton Centre for Adults.  

She was a hospice volunteer, an elder in the Presbyterian Church, a member of Lawn Bowling and Heart and Stoke and celebrated many lasting friendships.

She was predeceased by her much loved family, daughter Nancy, husband Jack and son Danny.   She's survived by daughter in law Josh Buchan, niece Marlene Hinton, nephews Bill Hinton, John and Bob Millar and their offspring. 

Special appreciation to Dr. Marsh who provided thoughtful care and support over decades and gave immense comfort.

Her memorial Service is March 10 at 1 pm at Saanich Presbyterian Church located on 9296 East Saanich Road.
