Eva passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon, March 5th, in her 98th year. She was born Eva Kossowan in Lethbridge, Alberta, and spent many of her early years along with her eight brothers and sisters in Mundare. She moved to Edmonton where she lived for 65 years and where she and her husband John worked and raised their family before moving to Sidney to enjoy the milder winters. She will be greatly missed by James John, her husband of 73 years, her children, grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren. The family thanks the many caregivers at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital and Palliative Care Unit. Funeral services will be at Peace Lutheran Church in Sidney on Friday March 11 at 11:30am. Interment at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Edmonton. In lieu of flowers, favoured charities are Saanich Peninsula Hospital Palliative Unit or Canadian Lutheran World Relief.
