The Victoria Jazz Society will present a virtual mini-festival—Vancouver Island Blues Bash ’21 presents: Virtually Blues—featuring four free-to-watch virtual performances, which will be presented on the app.gign.ca platform, August 30 to September 2.

The performances were filmed from April 12 to 16, under COVID-19 provincial health authority regulations that were in place at that time.

Following these online concerts, the TD Victoria International JazzFest presents Summer Sessions of Jazz and Blues, two days of live jazz and blues that will occur on Saturday, September 4 and Sunday, September 5 at the Cameron Bandshell in Beacon Hill Park.

A health plan has been set in place by the Victoria Jazz Society so that audience members will be able to safely enjoy these free outdoor performances, which will run from 1 to 5 pm on both days.

The online schedule is as follows (all shows begin at

8 pm):

• Monday, August 30: Blue Moon Marquee with A.W. Cardinal, guitar, vocals, and Jasmine Colette vocals, bass, drums.
