The Victoria International Wine Festival, for both amateur wine enthusiasts and professionals alike, returns Sept. 29 to 30 at the Victoria Conference Centre.

The festival offers seminars, tastings, international speakers and dinners, with more than 400 wines from 14 countries on display. Festival director David Bain said the festival, which is known to showcase some of the world’s best wines, plus rare, hard-to-find bottles, promises to be bigger and better than previous years. Over 50 wineries will showcase their offerings.

“We’ve worked hard to curate an exceptional lineup of wineries,” he said. “We want attendees to have the opportunity to try new wines and discover new favourites.”

This year, the festival has partnered with California Wine to showcase unique and rare wines from the region.

Tickets for the Victoria International Wine Festival go on sale this Thursday, June 1, at 9 a.m. The event program and tickets can be found at vicwf.com.
