After a dynamic year of pivot projects, pandemic unknowns and a shift in the buy-local movement, organizers of the Cheese and Meat Festival have happily announced that the event will return this fall.

The festival will take place on Saturday, November 27 at the historic The Powerhouse located in Victoria’s Old Town district.

It will feature three tasting sessions and seminars, showcasing the best of the local artisan food and beverage industry.

“The pandemic allowed us to narrow our focus and develop a festival that will showcase over 30 different vendors who play off of each other’s products,” said festival founder David Bain. “Our goal is to align our guests’ taste buds with new products and new pairings. A great example of this is {the combination of] chocolate, cheese and beer—all of which will be at the festival.”

Tickets, which are extremely limited for this year’s event, are now on sale at:

cheeseandmeatfestival.com.

“The Cheese and Meat Festival showcases the best local artisan food and beverages that you’d find on or alongside a charcuterie board,” added Bain.

“Our goal is to introduce guests to new products and exciting pairings that excite their taste buds. The key is that guests can journey to the festival as a one-stop shop to taste various products produced locally.”

The Festival has secured an amazing array of vendors, which include foods from:

Justo’s Hummus, She-Devil Delights, Bon Macaron, Two Rivers Meats, Eve’s Crackers, Truffle Pig Chocolate, Happy Goat Dairy, Habibi’s, Little Qualicum Cheeseworks, Bothwell Cheese, Paradise Cheese, Bite Matters, Chilliwack Honey, The Village Cheese Co, Caffe Umbria, Terra Foods, Arc Imports, Demos By Design, Barrellhouse Brine, Heathen Smokehouse, Haus Sausage Co, Blue Heron Cheese, Salt Spring Kitchen, Smak Dab.

Beverages will be from: Resurrection Spirits, Montis Spirits, Artisan Wine Shop, Storied Wines and Spirits, The Woods Spirits, Mad Lab Distilling, Sheringham Distillery, Country Vines, Elder Bros Farms Distillery, Stillhead Distillery, Odd Society Distillers, Averill Creek Winery, Junction Cider and Riot Brewing.
