MagicSpace Entertainment presents bestselling author and humorist David Sedaris at the Royal Theatre on November 21.

With sardonic wit and incisive social critiques, Sedaris has become one of America’s preeminent humour writers, beloved for his personal essays and short stories. He is a master of satire and one of today’s most observant writers addressing the human condition.

A Sedaris story may seem confessional, but it is also highly attuned to the world outside. It opens our eyes to what is absurd and moving about our daily existence. And it is almost impossible to read without laughing.

Sedaris’s most recent book, Happy-Go-Lucky, is his first new collection of personal essays since the bestselling Calypso (2018). Other bestselling books include Me Talk Pretty One Day, When You Are Engulfed in Flames, and Let’s Explore Diabetes with Owls.

Sedaris has been nominated for five Grammy Awards for Best Spoken Word and Best Comedy Album. He has won the Jonathan Swift International Literature Prize for Satire and Humour, the Medal for Spoken Language from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and more.

The November 21 show begins at 7:30 pm. Tickets start at $22.50 and can be purchased at rmts.bc.ca.
