Who doesn’t need a laugh after all we’ve been through? For the first time in two years, Canada’s coolest laughathon, the Snowed in Comedy Tour, is back for 2022.

Like most other things, the tour came to an abrupt halt in March 2020. The comedic quartet took to the stage in Calgary, not knowing that due to the pandemic, it would be another two years before they’d hit the road again.

But, much like a true northern winter, they’re back with a vengeance, bringing a blizzard of laughs from coast to coast, and landing in Victoria to play the Royal Theatre, Friday, January 21, at 8 pm.

A Canadian success story in a market of American comedic giants, the Snowed in Comedy Tour features a rotating lineup of four Canadian stand-up comedians, playing 60 shows in 58 cities, from the dead of winter until spring thaw.

Each show features four very different performers and showcases some of Canada’s best comedic talent, including three-time female comedian of the year Debra DiGiovanni (Video on Trial, Match Game, Debra DiGiovanni: Single, Awkward, Female); seven-time Canadian comedian of the year nominee Pete Zedlacher; Just for Laughs Canadian Comedy Competition winner Dan Quinn, and the $25,000 Great Canadian Laugh-off winner Paul Myrehaug.

There’s something for every brand of humour, and everyone will walk away with their own personal favourite.
