Fashion: Never Short on Overall Denim

Denim Overall shorts are back and better than ever

American Apparel Denim Short All, $92.

Those of us hitting high school in 1994 will recognize the resurgence of this demin trend, made famous by Kate Moss posing with one strap falling off her shoulder in Harper’s Bazaar that same year. That’s right, jean overall shorts are back and better than ever. (Yes, seriously.)

But we’re no longer borrowing from the boys, these slimmer styles take into account the pocket-size-to-posterior ratio and are altogether more flattering than the flapped-and-floppy ones we wore to see Jewel and The Counting Crows at The Gorge, WA.

When matched with a crisp, white dress shirt and a pair of velvet smoking slippers à la Alexa Chung, these bibbed, alternatives-to-shorts are flattering and fashion forward.
