Award-winning folk singer songwriter David Francey is playing a two-night stand at Hermann’s this week as part of his tour promoting his latest album, Late Edition, Oct. 30 and 31.

The three-time Juno winner says he was inspired to write the aptly named  album  by what he saw and read in the news. Late Edition is his first solo album since 2007’s Right of Passage and first recording since 2009’s Seaway,  a collaboration with Mike Ford, former member of Moxy Fruvous.

Doors at 6 p.m., show at 8 p.m. Tickets $27.50 at hightideconcerts.net, Lyle’s Place and Ditch Records. M
