Pacific Opera Victoria presents Carmen, a four-act opera with music by Georges Bizet and libretto by Henri Meilhac and Ludovic Halévy, opening Feb. 16 at the Royal Theatre.

POV is thrilled to have Allyson McHardy make her role debut as Carmen, and for Chorus Master/Associate Conductor Giuseppe (Joey) Pietraroia.  Both  been honoured with JUNO nominations in the same category — classical album of the year: vocal or choral performance.

Carmen runs Feb. 16, 18, 22, 24 and 28 at 8 p.m., with a matinée Feb. 26 at 2:30 p.m. at the Royal Theatre (805 Broughton).
