Art school seeks books for Pub Night

The Vancouver Island School of Art is looking for high-quality art books

The Vancouver Island School of Art is looking for high-quality art books for a special sale at its coming Pub Night fundraiser Sept. 11.

The school is looking for donations of good-quality art books to be sold, as well as special coffee table art books to be used in the silent auction. Donors can receive a tax receipt for half the value of the book new.

Books can be brought to the school weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The first Pub Night of the semester will feature a variety of fun and games, including live music, the inaugural Art Quiz hosted by Bill and Judy Reed (with surprise prizes for tables with the correct answers), the art book sale and silent auction, including a few select and rare books.

Tickets are $10 (includes one drink) and can be purchased in advance at the school or at the door.
