Saanich has issued a call for public art proposals for the new Craigflower Bridge.

Saanich has issued a call for public art proposals for the new Craigflower Bridge.

Funding has been allocated for the installation of a work of public art in the Saanich neighbourhood surrounding the bridge, completed last year.

A jury will oversee the competition, with the total budget available for the artwork set at $25,000, inclusive of all expenses and taxes the artist may have.

An artist information open house will be held on Thursday, Feb. 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Pearkes Rec Centre.
