LRT wrong direction
The zero-emission eBus and the Alexander Dennis double deckerwith emission-reducing EPA 2010-certified engine is the way of the future.
The LRT has great limitations. For example, in the case of a breakdown or obstruction, the LRT can not reroute like a bus. In addition, extra or replacement units can not be brought in during peak or emergency situations.
Then there is the cost: purchase, maintain and replace. Wouldn't that money be better invested toward subsidized transit passes, increasing ridership?
