It is the beginning of the world; it is the end of the world.  The birth of humanity, and possibly its demise.  It is a time of black and white, coming across as mostly grey.  There is fog, and movement within the fog.

So what is this performance called the dream collector(s)? It is dance, certainly. It is dance with poetry – yes, there are some words, which make sense from a poetic point of view.  It is 75 minutes of creative weirdness by four talented but elusive performers.  It is a riveting, but not necessarily comprehensible, piece of art.

At all events, it will not leave you unmoved or untouched.  It may be a pre-cursor to UNO and the Fringe, sent to prepare us for that which is different and hypnotic.  It is on at The Intrepid Theatre Club until April 22, at 8 p.m. with one matinee at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20, or $15 for students and seniors.

Intrepid’s motto, Be Brave, might well be applicable. If you see the matinee, take sunglasses for when you come out into the daylight.
