CineVic Ignites Short Film Production

CineVic  announces a new short film script and pitch competition in conjunction with its fifth annual Short Circuit Film Festival.

CINESPARK will provide a total of more than $10,000 in cash and in-kind equipment rentals and services to the production of an outstanding short film script by a writer/filmmaker from Vancouver Island or the Gulf Islands. After an open call for submissions, the top five scripts will be announced and read live at the Short Circuit: Pacific Rim Film Festival program launch event in April (details TBA). These 5 finalists will then pitch their projects in front of a live audience at Short Circuit on Saturday May 13. The winner will be announced at the festival’s closing reception.

Prize package includes: $1,000 cash grant; $9,000 in-kind equipment rentals from CineVic; $100 Modo driving credits toward production van rental; Production Insurance - 10 consecutive days of coverage ($150 value) and a one-year complimentary CineVic Production Membership ($220 value)

CineVic is also hosting The Short Pitch Workshop on Feb. 22 for a chance to sharpen your skills before the pitch.
