Sooke Arts Council hosts open house

Event takes place July 3 at 7 p.m.

The Sooke Community Arts Council will host an open house and recognition night on July 3.

The event takes place at Jenny’s Country Pantry and Tea Shoppe, 6596 Sooke Rd., at 7 p.m.

Sooke artist Linda Gordon said the purpose of the event is to broaden the council’s reach and get more people involved, and to recognize outstanding artists and volunteers within the community.

The event is intended to be a drop-in, and is free of charge.
