Celebrate Oktoberfest Stein and Dine at the Victoria Public Market

Food, suds and German-style fun on tap at Oct. 20 event

October can bring a certain country’s cuisine to mind: beer, pretzels, sauerkraut, beer, sausage – did someone say beer? If you’re craving these foods, Roast Meat and Sandwich Shop can satisfy that.

The Victoria Public Market and Roast are hosting their fourth annual Stein and Dine Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, Oct. 20. Popular German foods such as käse spätzle (the German version of macaroni and cheese), soft pretzels, Bavarian sausage and sweet mustard are ripe for consumption, all prepared by the Roast staff. And you can pair that up B.C. craft beers from the likes of Phillips, Driftwood and Hoyne breweries and more.

Listen to accordion music, take part in beard, braid, and lederhosen contests, or watch the Oktoberfest dancers among other amusements.

Admission is $45 and includes one food ticket ($5.25 for additional food tickets), three 12 oz. drink tickets, and one branded 12 oz. stein. Ten per cent of ticket sales will go to MOVE Adapted Fitness and Rehabilitation Society of BC, a non-profit providing assisted exercise to people of all ages who require it.
